Question Question about installing a motherboard block.

My motherboard is Asus PT6 Deluxe. I have the EK-FB Asus x58 and Mosfet blocks. My question concerns the application of thermal paste on the north bridge. What method does one use?

My System Specs

Just place a little drop of the thermal paste in the center of the chipset. It will even out when the block is mounted.

Basically your goal should be to put as little TIM as possible onto the NB. The chip is so small any amount of thermal paste will provide adequate coverage. Putting too much on will hurt temperatures.
