Need your expertise! More power?

I may have made a bad rookie mistake when I made a last minute change to my component order. I am hoping that my power supply will work with this graphics card. While the Corsair is not listed as being supported on the EVGA site, it does have the required PCI-E connectors. The big question... is 650w going to be enough juice?

Corsair TX650W 650W ATX 12V 52A 24PIN
EVGA E-GEFORCE 9800GX2 600MHZ 1GB
Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 DDR2 2GB 2X1GB x 2
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core
Antec P182 Atx Black Mid Tower Case
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L ATX LGA775 P35
Thermalright ULTRA-120 Extreme 6
Pioneer DVR-212D Black DVD-RW 18X6X18
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 3.5IN 500GB x 2

Direct Canada was out of stock on the Noctua fans that I wanted, so I'll pick up fans locally.

Thats a nice PSU-should be ok with a dualcore based on reviews...but the resident expert is SKY and hopefully he'll give it the greenlight.

You will have enough but you may have to modify your 8-pin PCI-E conenctor to fit into the GX2.

Thanks for your help. The more I read, the more issues I kept finding. I emailed DC and I think I caught the order in time. I'm going to substitute an 8800 GTS 512 instead and save about $300. Thanks again.

Fire off a PM to (Dc support-["search members"]) here too.

That will make sure that any changes are applied really quickly.

Sent a PM to DC_Support. See what happens. Thanks for your help.

Great support from DC - Thank You

Got a call from DC_Support to fix up my order and while he was being very helpful to me on the phone another young gal from DC called to help me out. Anyways the problem has been rectified thanks to their quick response. Thank you also to everyone else who helped me out.

Glad you pointed that out I was a couple a clicks away from getting one...

yeah the power supply is awesome, but the 9800 GX2 has some weird 8 pin in some cases but it is a good card.
