Default GTX 580 or Watercool my 480?

Hey guys, I recently got a GTX 480 yet in this summer weather this thing is a mini space heater, it gets way too hot and heats up my room, which makes gaming rather unenjoyable. Anyways I was thinking of two options, one: sell the 480 and buy a 580, or 2: buy a Block for the 480 and put it on my current loop. What do you guys think would be the best option?

You won't be any better off with a 580 especially 2 even water cooling won't help you too much because the same amount of heat still gets released into the air, it just does it quicker allowing your part to run cooler. Buy yourself a window ac unit for under $100(cheaper than a waterblock and call it a day.

energy can neither be created nor destroyed: it can only be transformed from one state to another
basically, whether you put it under water or not, the total amount of heat created by the card is the same...and this thermal energy will end up in your room regardless! Obviously better operating temps are to be expected under water if your loop is decent but that won't fix your problem with your rig heating up your room...

Basically your best bet is to invest in a card with a lower TDP (shouldn't be hard to find one lower than a 480! although the 580 isn't all that much lower)...
