Default Hoping for some help with some hard drive mounting.

I have a used unknown model Thermaltake case that I am hoping to transition to be my new home server case as the current case I am using, the Shinobi XL, will be re-purposed as my gaming case once again when my EATX motherboard arrives from the Intel RE Deal.

The problem with the Thermaltake case is that there are no hard drive sleds left in it, I found it 'dumpster diving' aka university students moving out and had the case near the apartment garbage. The hard drive bays themselves are still there, but as they are larger than just a standard 3.5 " Hard Drive, I can't just put them in there. I was hoping someone may have some retail or DIY solutions they could share so I don't have to go out and either buy another EATX case or an ATX case that has 6+ 3.5 " HDD bays.

What about 3D printing drive sleds/bay/cage? I have seen people online who have done that and I am sure some of the 3D printer users on here would have more details on options, CAD files or whatever required, etc.

I know that even if you don't have a 3D printer there are locations in Halifax that will 3D print for you, I would guess for cheaper than replacing the case.

The only problem is I don't know the model of the case.

"hard drive mount" 3D Models to Print - yeggi

I've never attempted to create a 3d printer "plan", but I'd think that a simple height/width/length measurement would be able to come up with rails that would fit. Trying to get the clips/latches right would probably be a nightmare so you might be best served to stick with screw holes rather than trying to come up with tool less / screwless design.

I think I might have a couple sets of those rails Sam, IIRC TT used the same design from xaser up until Armour series. Shoot up a image of the cage and I can go from there.
