The upright install would most likely interfere with my current loop so I suspect that's going to be the deciding factor between the two slots.....

edit: (It's not clear from the picture I uploaded, but one of the slots is at right angles to the motherboard).

I dont think this actually matters on 370, as only the x16 PCIE graphics slot is CPU connected. All the other connections are through the chipset, and all routed through the DMI 3.0 connection to the CPU.

From what I understand only z370 has CPU connected storage.
