Default Corsair Dominator or OCZ HPC Reaper?

Couple of sweet deals at memory express that I intend to capitalize on.

Corsair 4GB XMS2-8500D Dominator 2 x 2GB w/ Airflow fan $140 after $40 MIR

or

OCZ 4GB PC2-8500 Reaper HPC 2 x 2GB $100 after $30 MIR

I know the dominators are better overclockers, but is the cheaper OCZ Reapers better for price to performance?

Try getting the dominators without the cooling fan - they charge almost $20-30 for just the fan alone and while I got it, I didn't use it because it's a really flimsy installation and will interfere with aftermarket CPU coolers depending on your motherboard (it did for mine).

Short of that, the Doms are great sticks.

Yeah the doms are amazing, and I personally do not like OCZ memory - not that I think it's bad quality etc, I just don't like the brand, marketing, and implementation. The dominators are really solid, I've used many sets and the heatsink they have ACTUALLY works instead of the crap OCZ slaps on their memory.
