My System Specs

Default Nvidia Turing to be called RTX, not GTX.

interesting twist...but Turing may be called RTX, not GTX...so we'd get an RTX 2080, not GTX 1180. or perhaps there's going to be interesting moves in play and we'll get both?

" Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 will be 8% faster than the GTX 1080 Ti and 50% faster than the GTX 1080"

I call BS on this. No way it's going to only be a single digit improvement over the 1080Ti. I'm not expecting 50% over the Ti, but that'd be barely any difference from the partner cards performance over the stock card.

Maybe they missed a 2 or a 3? 28% or 38% would seem a little more credible.

This sounds more accurate given the delta between a 1080 & ti. Otherwise the statement just doesnt make sense.

more info on the coming cards, with a mention that Nvidia registered GeForce RTX for trademark in early July.

I'm cheesed at the cards being up to double the MSRP of the 1080 Ti though...what the heck!

I would not be surprised if its more like 15'ish percent. Thats about what a 1080 at launch could do over a 980Ti. Any one expecting a great leap forward is probably going to be disappointed. I expect more an evolution than revolution. COULD be wrong though. BETTER be wrong if they want more than a 1080Ti for it!

I agree with that because right now AMD poses no threat in GPU market, they will have something next year, maybe.
