Well I think I am gonna go water cool these GTX 480's. They are pretty noisy and very hot. I am most likely gonna go with coolit's double rad cooler.

I get 15c cooler with the side panel off and the max temp is 90c in heaven max settings.

^^^^ We'll see what kind of Delta I get adding the 140mm Fan to my TJ09......should be adequate....

That will give me within the Silverstone Case:
1. 1x 120mm 1900 RPM (intake) feeding fresh air to GPU's
2. 1 x 140mm 1200 RPM (intake) feeding fresh air to GPU's
3. 3 x 120mm 1200 RPM exhausting out the top

Default Stock TIM

If anyone hasn't already done so, it really is worth it to change the TIM on the stock HS. I had some MX2 laying around and it lowered my Kombustor temps from 76C/79% fan to 71C/77% on my MSI GTX470. It's easy, just need to unclip the plastic shroud and remove 4 screws from the HS.

I'm really...really ashamed of just ordering the 470

I think the main reason was before the XFX 5850 was out of stock

Oh well..

lol...same. I wouldn't have mind buying the XFX 5850, but hell, it's $325 for the non-reference version which had not been in stock for quite some time (it is available now lol at certain stores). But it was only $55 more for a GTX470 (can be found for only $40 more now)...it's not that bad. I know that if something goes wrong down the line, I won't be forced to 'pay' for a RMA (upgrade option) as seen in some XFX RMAs with EVGA.

yeah it's about 40$ more for the GTX470. Debated about the numbers a bit, the performance was close to 10% better, which is somewhat justified. Also the option of folding is nice, and I do not require eyefinity

The worry is now, what happens in the summer
