As I mentioned,I needed 1.345 for 5 ghz that wasnt p95 stable. It was everything thing else stable though. Regular use cooled with my h100i stayed below 75c but all non avx benches where dipping into the low 90s . At least one worker on P95 with avx off would fail with high 90s after 5 minutes. So im sure it needed more juice for p95 . Down the line i will get a heavier cooler and see if it will help but stock is alright for now. I do feel they kinda squeezed most of the oc capabilities out of it at stock, a bit crappy for a K chip.

I wouldnt say its crappy ...you have to remember its an 8c 16t Chip....5Ghz on all cores is impressive....I would think your playing around with other settings other than vcore? System Agent and VCCIO in most cases are adjusted as well.....LLC.......too much or too little can also result in instability.....

I was following the ROG and Evga Forums closely as well as OCN (a number of months ago looking for tweaks I was missing)..and most folks with either Dark or ROG Boards are getting decent results at 5Ghz not much more than 1.325v (top end)....some as low as 1.265v ....they are hot chips once over 5 Ghz and 1.325v.....so are the Core I9 2066 Socket Chips (even warmer),,,,

Yes you are right, it is impressive but Im already clocking at 4.7 on all cores stock. Its proving to be quite difficult to get 300 more mhz and not to mention quite HOT. It might be the gigabyte board, I dont know. I was only adjusting Vcore and LLC( the LLC was set to turbo, high would crash, and extreme was lets say really hot instantaneously ). Adjusting the SA and VCCIO didnt seem to help. I followed the gigabyte 5 ghz guide and also read / watched several tutorials where they need 3.6- to 4 vcore to be stable at 5ghz

Thats what I thought, even the asus guy was using 1.4 on the offical video... well, im pretty satisfied with the stock settings for now. Perhaps ill revisit the oc on this chip when i can afford beefier cooling :)
