My System Specs

Default 2018 HWBOT Team Cup, Aug. 5 to Oct. 31

Last year, thanks to the combined effort of several overclockers, Team Hardware Canucks continued playing the role of "the little team that could" by finishing 7th in the 2017 HWBOT Team Cup in a vast field of almost 100 different overclocking teams...

That's going to be a challenging feat to repeat this year as the competition stages in Team Cup 2018 are many and varied. While the breadth of the competition is the thing that makes it so challenging, it's also one of the great things about it because there are so many different competition categories, old and new, that you're almost guaranteed to have the kind of hardware needed to participate in at least one or two of them.

Please feel free to use this thread to discuss, plan, ask for help, share tips and tweaks and generally enjoy each other's company as we work together to take on the world!

Remember: only one submission per piece of hardware per stage and only one submission per overclocker per stage. I'll keep track of submissions in this post to make it easier to see where the team could use your help. I would suggest posting in this thread first before attempting a benchmark because there may be specific rules or tweaks you'll need to know in order to get a good score.

Happy benching!

Also remember, the Stage descriptions posted above do not necessarily articulate all of the rules for each stage - so be sure to visit the stage page first before attempting a benchmark to make sure you are following the rules correctly. When in doubt, do not hesitate to ask here and I will clarify the rules for you.

Hey zoob - for the AMD Aquamark stage in Category 4, which would be better - RX 480 or R9 390X?

(Also realizing some of the stages have been updated since I posted them...)

As in which one should you bench or which one would do better overall? I have no idea! :)

Any spare 478 Prescott 1024's in your stack of chips DT? I only have Northwood 512.

I am effectively shut out of category 3 and 4 and 2 is looking iffy.

Darn, about three weeks ago I recycled an old computer with a 516 in it. I thought nobody would ever want that! :(

Double-checked my stash, Val - and I do have one spare Prescott 1024 chip - an SL7E4. Lemme know if you want it.
