MY new GPU and MoBo

I have a Geforce 7050M-M motherboard and am planning on getting a BFG geforce 8800GT OC2.

Ive heard all about the horrors of the PCi-e Version 1.0, 1.0a, 2.0 and so on,
my question is will it work on my board, it says its fully backward compatable with all PCI-e version, but i aint got a clue which version it is lol and if thats a lie or not lol...

any help would be IMMENSE :) pllleasssee

how do u know :P...

System requirements:
> PCI Express-compliant motherboard with one vacant PCI Express x16 slot

Any PCI-E version will do, as long as your mobo has a PCI-E x16 electrical slot.
If you post your mobo make and model, someone can check that for you.

urmm ok thats gd and all :P "Delivers up to a 4x increase in graphics and 2x I/O bandwidth for smooth multimedia performance"still dnt tell me what PCI-E version it is ...or am i missing something :PSorry im someone who came from the AGPx4 age :(

The BFG 8800GT OC2 specifications say it will work in ANY version PCI-E x16 slot. You have a PCI-E x16 slot in your mobo. It will work. You're overthinking this. That graphics card is NOT capable of saturating the bandwidth of ANY version of a PCI-E x16 slot.

Plug it in, be amazed at your new graphics.
