Default Trouble connecting printer over network

I am trying to have one computer on a network be able to print on a printer connected to another computer on the network. The computer that has the printers directly connected has XP and the other computer is win7 64bit.

Yeah I know it's usually easy and it worked just fine for one of the other printers connected to the computer but this other printer just won't go. It's a HP CP1518ni that I'm having issues with. If I connect the USB from the printer to the win7 machine it can print to it just fine. When I try to go through the network it tries searching for a driver and fails. Would I need to install the XP driver on the win7 machine?

You'd need to install the 64 bit driver on the XP machine for a network print to work.
