barnettworks and his coworker clamatowas would make a heck of a Team on their own, over 2.3 million ppd between them is crazy...

Wow **Chris' folding farm seems inadequate**

No :censored:511s here yet, although I had one last week. Got the prifinity and vmware stuff sorted out I believe (noticed the GPU client starved for cycles today, and when I looked they were using the '14' core, so they were not recognized by the affinity program).

My rigs together seem to be getting ~31000 PPD, not including the PS3. The vmware client setup was key as I have not had such consistently high PPD, and right now my GTX 285s are doing ~8200PPD, which is a bit lower than in the past.

If you have not tried the vmware setup yet (and are not Boincing), you really got to try this: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...sy-guides.html I'm getting ~4700PPD on my Q6600 running at 3.0GHZ.

Only 31,000 ppd, I can't find the exact quote right now but I seem to remember someone stating he would never be able to keep up with the big boys, or something to that effect.

I'm probably going to try that newfangled VM thingy this week, hopefully you folks have all the bugs ironed out. At one point today I had those :censored: WU's on all three of my GPU's, it's getting harder to keep ahead of you guys and your constant upgrading to feed your habit...

Kind of incredible when you think it's all done with CPU's, even if they are servers. I wonder if clamatowas will try and match him, man I'm glad they are on different teams...

Correction, RACKS of blade servers.... multiply that out to I dunno 20-30 blades in a rack???

Hey guys just configured the Q9550 with the SMP console client, so thats 4 cores @ 100% plus my GTX280. Pulling near 400watts from the wall as we speak with both clients running, power hungry goodness. I'd rather not imagine how much power it would be consuming if my CPU was overclocked.

Fahspy has yet to give me a total PPD, any idea what I should expect now with my configuration?

It finally put up some numbers, does 1835 PPD sound about right for a stock clocked Q9550?

Regards,

EE

No. It doesnt...unless you're running the windows client. Set up the VMware client as per the sticky. 2 copies, 2 cores per copy.

My Q6600 at 3.4 pulls in 5400ish now. The windows version I was pulling 2400 iirc.
