Have no real idea lowfat, 132K is more like a figure I see with Windows bigadv. My 3.6Ghz hexcores yield a max of 138K PPD with Windows 7. When you installed kraken, did enable NUMA as well?

Your BigAdv seem to cash in for about the same as mine (the 118K-122K range) and I'm also running 2x hexcore @3.6GHz.

My theories on the machine being "slow" are that either my RAM (CAS9 1600MHz) is slow or that it is merely as simple as upload speed. Oddly enough I've never bothered to do a speed test, but I'm pretty sure I only upload at like 30k/s, which is horrible. I'll do a speed test when I go home at lunch today.

And you are using linux? I am up to a whopping 139k ppd at the moment on a P2686 right now. That is about as high as I've seen it. P6901s are generally around 132k.

It might be my ram as I am using some KVR, which I've had to loosen the eff out of the timings in order to keep it stable. Something around ~ 1600MHz 10-10-10-24-1T

And yes Xeven, I do have NUMA enabled. Even on my windows machine.

Anyone know how to check uptime w/ Ubuntu 10.10? I have a feeling this machine has been going non stop for well over a month without a reboot now.

Yes, Ubuntu 10.10 w/ BFS+Kracken, NUMA on (had it off when I used Windows). When I used Windows I was returning most 6900 WUs for 115K each. Doing the math, if I post a 6901 every 7 updates for a week, it averages out to about 139,500 PPD. I have no idea how these other guys get 160K PPD from their 3.6GHz SR-2s.

I wish I had 6-12GB of triple channel CAS7 DDR3 lying around to test with. I've just got 2 kits of this generic G.Skill: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...-review-6.html

RAM doesn't matter much. I run mine at 9-9-9-24. I have 5 of them and all of them give me the same PPD (as per configuration, 2x3.6Ghz, 3x3.8Ghz). I also don't use them at all when they fold so that might be a factor as well.

Had a good laugh today, ms small business server 2011 essentials refused to install on my 60gb SSd. First time I've had insufficient hdd space on a new build. So I cannibalized a 7200rpm 320gb drive from my ancient file server (pentium D 3.2)
