Default what 'free to play' games do you enjoy?

I know most 'free to play' are more along the lines of 'pay to win', but perhaps there are some gems out there. what do you enjoy?

World of Warships. Even it is totally pay to win, I just have all kinds of fun sinking BBs with my cruiser. Torpedo action is where all fun lives.

Path of Exiles. Diabloesque, but not at the same time. Very much of a learning curve on the mechanics of the skill tree and gems. You pay for cosmetics and shared stash tabs (loot space). If you are not OCD you can delete all the stuff you get instead of hanging onto it though, but if you start to play you might drop a few dollars on some space, if only for the special tabs like currency, maps, cards, and essences.

starwars star trek , I wished that both of these games would have a bit of each other like STarwars have the flying ships and the star trek have the ground mechanics then both would be very good games

I used to love playing Loadout. Too bad the devs went bankrupt and had to shut down the game. It was a free 3rd person multi-player shooter and the best part was it wasn't pay to win at all. The few in game purchases it had were purely cosmetic like new hats, beards, outfits and taunts etc. I think it's still available on the steam store but barely anyone plays anymore. The art style was very unique and the gun customization was also amazing. It was my most played game on steam for a long time.

I still enjoy World of Tanks from time to time. Not a hardcore player but still fun that for particular mood.

Used to play WoT religiously, full German heavy tank line all the way to E-100 in the garage. More or less stopped playing once people started shooting money, kind of literally. That on top of repetitive gameplay (no mutation on maps) made it boring.

-World of Warships, for sure. Don't actually spam torpedoes unless you're completely without skill and want to eat friendly fire. People enjoy the a balanced game but torpedoes are extremely OP. Be warned :p
-Loadout was indeed awesome, swinging dongs and all lol. Could've been a great game if they had keep it going and kept adding weapon customizing.
- Warframe was and still in my go-to "casual" shooter. Third person and pretty easy to get overpowered and kill many many things. PvE game so there's not too many trolls.
- Heroes of the storm is another good free one. If you're just starting in MOBAs it's the was to get into them with ice short matches and an easy learning curve.
- DOTA2 if you want to go into the high-end MOBA world. Learning curve is extreme, and the games are very long. *BUT* you'll never have a more satisfying gaming moment than when you and your friends win an epic team battle in DOTA2.

... I'll think of more another time.
