Default Co-op Game suggestsions

The fiancee and I are starting to get a wee bit bored of Diablo 3 and were thinking about hopping onto a 'new' game soon. The sort of games we've played together include SWTOR (she doesn't want to go back to that), Command & Conquer 3, Age of Empires 3, Borderlands 1 and 2, Diablo 3, Torchlight 2, and probably a few more I'm forgetting. I listed the games in order to help people get a feel that we do enjoy comp-stomping RTSes, RPGs (be it FPS or mass clicking), etc.

Pandora: First Contact - One of the best TBS games available. It was made by a bunch of Civ lovers that were pissed that The newer Civ games were dissapointments. So they built a better game, designed for multi-player.
Portal 2 - Just plain fun
Don't Starve Together - An extremely addictive game. But if you're both competitive, it might wreck your marriage. >.<
Divinity: Original Sin - It's everything Baldurs Gate could have been with reasonable co-op. Highly recommended!
Dungeon Defenders (original) - The second one is crap, but the original is a crazy fun 'arcade'ish, third person, tower defense game with a twist. There's tons of strategy and it is an absolute blast. Must be played in co-op to truly appreciate it. And the more people in the game, the tougher it gets.
Borderlands: The Pre-sequel - Not nearly as good as the first two, but still a solid game overall. And if you liked the first two, this one should fill some time. Plus you get to follow the origin story of what made Jack in to the psycho that he now is.

We tried to play the Pre-Sequel and found it way too much like Borderlands 2.

You might have left it out because of age, but Left4Dead is still the gold standard for co-op games. Sets a feeling of being 'in it together' while also feeling a team even if there are variations in skill level.

Waiting for Left4Dead2 (which if you haven't played has all the first missions and characters) to go back on sale to buy a copy for my just getting into video games teenager.

Been there, done that. We played both of them when they each came out, they were alright games but not something I'd want to go back to.

The wife enjoyed playing through Dungeon Siege 3. Couch coop is great but hard to find. Wish more game companies thought of it for pc as much as they do for consoles.

Is there a strong rule on necro here? I dont mind creating a new post but I'm also looking for suggestions on casual coop games, nothing like l4d, moreso like Human Fall Flat or possibly Portal2.

It's relevant, so a continued discussion is fine.
