Default Corrupt Demo's

I doubt any of you play Half-life 1 games (cs 1.6, dod 1.3, etc).

Well Valve decided to update it's 8 year old game engine a month ago and it caused client crashes world wide, they fixed the bug in the new protocol (48) though demo's (game recordings) still were not able to be viewed.

A few demo converters were made, a very sketchy one simply called CsDemoConverter was what I used to convert my old demo's to the new protocol. It worked for a short time but suddenly my demoes all started corrupting. (unviewable, unreadable)

I've been playing Day of Defeat 1.3 for a long time and have made it to the highest caliber of league play, I've got some pretty cool frag footage but it has all been corrupted.

Now that I've explained my story I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to revert these updated files to their past state (i've tried system restore). Is theres a way to fix these or revert them back? Help!
