Gateway NV5909H Gaming Laptop $699 @ Future Shop

Gateway NV5909H for only $699. It's an excellent gaming laptop imo.

Battery life is a bit on the poor side as the graphics aren't switchable for some reason. However, other than that it's an excellent laptop. My cousin has the same laptop and it's serving him really well. Only thing is that he managed to break the DVD drive. How? You tell me.

Take good care of the battery and you'll get around 2 hours on it according to my cousin. He "multitasks" a lot too. I say "multitask" because he just keeps excess windows and tabs open but he never uses them.

It's one of the fastest mobile GPUs with a good balance at battery life, so yes you can game on it. I have personally tried MW2 on my cousin's laptop and it's very smooth. Can't remember what the details were set to, but it's good. Oh, it also uses GDDR3 and not DDR3 for the memory. It might've changed, but a review and memory tells me its GDDR3.
