Please correct me if the web page suddenly put me into USD mode or something. I did a search for Radeon 4870s on Newegg and I saw some very low prices for them:
Newegg.ca - Computer Hardware,Video Cards & Video Devices,Desktop Graphics / Video Cards,Radeon HD 4000 series,Radeon HD 4870,
These prices are getting close to the buy/sell/trade prices I'm seeing for 4870s (within 15% if you don't consider shipping)
HIS 4870 512MB $209.49 Newegg.ca - HIS Hightech H487FN512P Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Sapphire 4870 1 GB $235.99 Newegg.ca - SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
- note that I personally won't let a Sapphire within 2 metres of my machine after my insta-artifact 9700, but still it's a good price
The HIS sale says it goes on until the end of April, so I'll wait for the 4890 reviews + prices :thumb:
(and if they get sold out before then, I guess Stanford's servers get another onslaught of EUEs from me)
