My System Specs

Default looking for a SFF case with four external bays for hot swap drives.

got a project that needs a SFF PC for transport in a Pelican case that has four external drive bays that can be converted to being hot swap, if not already.

I'm hoping for something that is mITX, but suspect we'll have to go mATX to get this.

thanks! :)

Can you expand on the four external drive bays bit? Do you require one 5.25 bay and convert it to hot swap 3.5 bay or multiple SSD bays or 4x 3.5 bays?

need 4x 2.5" hot swap bays...so likely will require 5.25" bays with an adapter.

This seems like a good start would only need a single 5.25 bay to mount this and it takes 4 drives.

Mix that with a low profile case (still micro not atx unfortunately) should be close to what your looking for

Yeah, or if this is for a corporate environment... any small prebuilt corp desktop that has room for an optical drive will do. Those would fit fine in a deployment case.

Apex MI 008 or Rosewill RS-MI-01, which looks the same with 1 expansion slot. SFX power supply included or you can toss it and replace it with a better unit. Cooler Master Elite 130 and Fractal Core 500 take an ATX PSU and come with 2 expansion slots so you could jam in a RAID card if you want. Icy Dock MB324SP-B is what you're looking at or something similar. 4x 2.5 inch hot swap cage for 5.25 inch bay. Aliexpress may have cheaper alternatives.
