That's a great option, even with current CAD exchange rate it's a good price.

I personally use Mayflower Electronics O2+DAC, and praise them all over the forum whenever I can!

No I haven't heard the ARC, or the O2+DAC rev.b. But if anything happened with my O2+ODAC I'd be getting the ARC. Really like that it has a mic jack on it too.

This video gives info on ARC: https://youtu.be/9s4WhTbUQlE

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with those beyond what you'd find in a Google search. All seem to be well reviewed. Perhaps someone with hands on experience will comment.

Personally I think all the mentioned devices do pretty much the same thing, budget always being a deciding factor. I like Mayflower because I like supporting the "little guy" when I can and the customer support I have received from them has been excellent. Unless you have a very specific requirement any of the mentioned units would do the trick I would think.

Mayflower was my second choice but their price are a bit high for my budget, am somewhat broke atm and that's why am going to spend around 160$ only.

Not sure I would recommend the Mayflower custom O2+ODAC vs a JDS Labs O2+ODAC especially since Mayflower doesn't ground the rear power plug on their O2+ODAC (JDS Labs does) and their selection/customization isn't as impressive. Plus JDS Labs has a better quality assurance and manufacturing process than Tyler from Mayflower. Also the differences between the Rev A and Rev B are largely minor. Sure both are made in the USA (Mayflower vs JDS Labs) but I would choose Massdrop's version or JDS Labs. Not to mention that I'm looking at the T50RP mod prices and it seems Tyler has increased it on Mayflower's website.

$160 makes most of the suggested options out of reach I think. Didn't check the Massdrop suggestion but I am guessing it would be tight with current US to CAD exchange, assuming you are purchasing CAD. I'm also not familiar with JDS labs suggested by Dark Knight, but perhaps they could suggest something in the right price range?

There are amps out there in $100-150 range, or less, but I don't have any experience in that price range.

Dark Knight, you've mentioned that grounding concern before. Good info for someone making a choice perhaps, but speaking only from my personal experience with my Mayflower device I haven't had any issues of any kind. So however it is grounded or not hasn't been a problem in my set up. A Google search shows love for both companies, usually based on people's experience with support in a lot of cases.

I did see a post from Tyler Chilton back in the Massdrop days where he states plugging in the source provides the grounding when an ODAC is installed. I'm not an electronics guy so can't comment. Just passing on for info.

Mayflower's ARC unit is completely their own design, not the open source O2, and is reviewed to be a good unit. However, again, out of the price range for the OP unfortunately.
