I had a brand new package of Gelid GC Extreme in my cupboard that I just put on my GPU. It still seemed fluid enough...probably been in there for a while though...

My tube of Thermal Grizzly was really dry though, thus I didn't want to use that. The EK Ecotherm stuff was still fine that I used originally, but figured I'd try something else.

Hmmm very confusion, guess smooth peanut butter is better for easy to spread with a used spreading spatulas

those imaginary micro bubble help spread the media but air huge pockets aren't good = poor coverage

roll the dough as placing heat sink one side then fold down to meet the CPU then twist back/forth a line mount clamp it down is my method

I ran out of AS5 last year, and haven't replaced it yet lol. But I am using Chill Factor 3, it came with my Thermalright coolers. I just put a blob a little bigger than a grain of rice down on the center, slap the cooler down on it, and give it a titty twister before I give it the clamps. Works good! Last night I scraped the goop off of my GTX980, and replaced with CF3, and saw about a 2-5c drop in temps, not huge, but when the load is off temps drop a lot quicker.
