My System Specs

Default

Yeah, but it's not like Nvidia is much better. To paraphrase anandtech, NVIDIA is pitching the 1070 Ti as an upgrade for the legendary GTX 970, which launched at a paltry $329 US. I waited and got mine for $389 Cdn, plus tax.

Last night, spurred on by my growing bitcoin balance, I was looking at various retailers and a 1070 Ti is $650 plus tax. I know prices are still inflated by the mining crazy, but that is ~66% percent more expensive. Wasn't the x70 series suppose to be upper mainstream?

Bitcoin will need to rise a LOT more if I am to get a new card for free-ish.
