In roughly 12 hours from now, one of the world’s most prestigious overclocking championships kicks off . The GIGABYTE Open Overclocking Championship 2009, a battle that pits the top computer enthusiasts from across the globe against each other for fame and fortune.
The second annual GIGABYTE Overclocking Champtionship being held in Taipei, Taiwan is set to start at on June 3rd, 2009 and given the rough half a day time zone difference (depending on your location), be praepared to grab a comfy seat and snacks as the competition starts after midnight tonight for those North American viewers. Hardware Canucks has a representative on site, and hopefully we will be privy to some insider information as the time draws closer – Be sure to check back later today for further updates.
“The winners from the 4 regional finals are set to head to Taipei to compete against each other as well as last year’s GO OC 2008 Best P45 Overclock and Free Style champions, allowing them to not only compete for title of world-wide overclocking champion, but also to take part in one of the world’s largest IT tradeshows, COMPUTEX Taipei. The GO OC 2009 winner will not only gain the title of worldwide overclocking champion, but will also receive prizes valued well over US$5,000, including a cash reward and products provided by the GO OC sponsors.
