Xi3’s Piston PC-console is now available for pre-order according to the company’s website.

According to Xi3’s website, the Piston starts at $899.99 for a box 128GB of internal SSD storage, 8GB of RAM, and a 3.2 GHz quad-core AMD A10 processor.

The Xi3 is available at different price points. For users wanting more storage space, the SSD can be upgraded to 256GB for an $340 extra or 512GB for an additional $750.

No word yet on the release date, but Xi3 is promising it will ship for the 2013 holiday season.

    I only see about $370 of value here:

    Crucial M4 128 Gig SSD: $120

    8 Gigs RAM: $30

    A10: $120

    PSU and CASE: $30

    F2 MB: $70

    Unless you get free access to all of the Steam games this isn’t even close to worth purchasing. The thing loos good, but doesn’t even come close to a good PC. The PS4 and XBox 720 will both crush it for half the price.

    STARTING at $900? They really screwed the pooch with that. Agree with other commenters. Besides, of its meant to be a pc and play steam games one could build a better rig for cheaper. People were hardly willing to pay that for a freshly released ps3 back in the day

    $340 for an extra 128GB of SSD?!?!? Base price is insane and the upgrades are just insulting.
