PowerColor, part of the TUL Corporation, is working on the design of a new ATI Radeon HD 5770 video card that features a unique, user adjustable cooler for better control of airflow.
The new “Vortex” Cooler showcases a thick aluminum heatsink, and at the top, the height adjustable fan. As seen in the images, the fan’s position can be set “low” to be flush with the fan shroud, or raised by a few centimeters to fine tune the fan’s performance and direction of airflow.
Depending on the adjustments, the cooler may eat up to 3 expansion slots. The Vortex edition video card will feature the same technical specs as the companies HD 5770 PCS+ model.
Expected launch is only a few weeks away, but PowerColor has given no hints as to the price or whether they intend to offer other video cards with the new cooler.
