In a bit of a race to see who can neuter their most recent technology for the low budget segment faster, NVIDIA follows up AMD’s HD 6450 announcement with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520.
The new GT 520 takes the place as the lowest cost DX11 GPU in our product line-up, delivering lifelike characters and terrain to the latest DX11 games at lower resolutions, and support for viewing Blu-ray movies, photographs, and Web content—all in stereoscopic 3D, courtesy of NVIDIA 3D Vision technology.
The GT 520 will be available immediately from the leading AIC, channel, and system builder partners.
The card features 48 CUDA cores, 64-bit 1GB GDDR3 memory, 810MHz core clock, and 1800MHz memory.
Expected retail price is approximately $50 USD.
