NVIDIA has released the 196.21 WHQL certified drivers on its website this morning for all the green machines to download with glee. Especially happy will be those with SLI systems as this latest update adds support for SLI profiles for numerous titles along with updates to its Physx software. The driver supports for GeForce and Ion products.
- Adds SLI and multi-GPU support for many top new gaming titles including Avatar Demo, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, City Bus Simulator, Dirt 2, Ferrari Virtual Race, GREED: Black Border, Mass Effect 2, Mortal Online, Ninja Blade, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Demo, Planet 51, RUSE, Serious Sam HD, and Wings of Prey.
- Upgrades PhysX System Software to version 9.09.1112.
- Includes numerous bug fixes.
- This driver version adds support for NVIDIA PhysX acceleration on all GeForce 8‐series, 9‐series, 100‐series, and 200‐series GPUs with a minimum of 256MB dedicated graphics memory and a minimum of 32 processor cores.
