Yesterday we showed some uncovered snapshots of the upcoming HD 5770, which looks to bundle affordability with performance, and this morning, we get to deliver the real goods, the benchmark numbers.
A member of Chinese website MyMyPC, put an Asus HD 5770 to the test, and ran it through a variety of benchmarks. The test system used was an AMD Phenom II X4 945 with 4 GB of DDR3 memory operating on Windows 7 64-bit. While strangely, the CPU-Z screenshots in the photo show the CPU running at a touch over 800MHz, the results line up with where most analysts have put the cards performance.
Overall the numbers look very promising, lumping the card in with the NVIDIA GTX 260 & 275, and ATI’s Radeon HD 4890, it keeps exactly in line with all of them in 3DMark06, and only slightly lags behind the GTX 275 & HD4890 in 3DMark Vantage.
The expected release day is rumoured to stumbled around by the end of October making for quite the successful fall and holiday season lineup for ATI… and what is likely to be a very bleak Christmas for NVIDIA.
