For many people who saw the concept drawing of the ASUS ARES, they felt the card would never actually turn out to be designed that way.

Pictured in this article is that same HD5970 ARES spotted, being benched no less. It is nice to see since that news release that it will indeed feature the full copper cooling , and sport ROG’s customary colours of black and red.

As well pictured below is the power delivery input side, and it looks as though this card is going to require a fair amount of real estate from end users PSU’s to stay running. With two 8-pin and one 6-pin Connector Required rest assured the ARES will also be very power hungry.
