Zalman, popular for their cooling supplies, and to some degree computer enclosures, is branching out to embrace the latest component that seems to be on manufacturer’s must produce list; solid state drives.
The company is introducing its Zalman S and N series, consumer grade products available in three sizes, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with full support for TRIM and ACHI.
The S series, is based on a JMicron controller with read speeds of 260MB/s, and 60MB/s writes for the 32GB model, 120MB/s for the 60GB and 210MB/s for the 128GB. Pricing is expected at $99, $149 and $249 respectively.
The N series, is a little more serious with a SandForce SF-12xx controller support speeds of up to 280MB/s read and 270MB/s right. This line will only feature a 64GB and 128GB model, priced at $169 and $289 respectively.
Zalman has not revealed when its new SSD line will launch
