Ever heard or seen a Mushkin SSD? Neither has most of North America, in fact the lineup (much like their video cards) are not even listed on the website. According to a Muskin spokesperson, the SSD products are only available in Europe (as the product line’s name suggests) however that doesn’t stop it from being news.
Mushkin release their Europe SSD series in March of 2009, and apparently has found a relatively large amount of success in the European market, as they are releasing a “third” revision, the new Europe III (possibly misreported as the “Europa III”) that comes in a single 250GB flavour.
The drive produces speeds of 220 MB/s read, 200 MB/s write powered by a Samsung S3C29RBB controller, and uses MLC NAND flash. It is in the typical 2.5inch form factor, producing .15w at idle and .25w during load.

As is increasingly common with Mushkin products, the SSD is housed in a metal protective case.
When, or if, this Mushkin product lineup will see the light of day in North America is unknown, as is pricing and availability for Europe.
