Intel SSD angle2 300x191 Intel Releases New Firmware Updated for 34nm SSDIntel had promised a firmware updated for its SSD customers, after it latest release become the second fatality it a string  of faulty firmware updates, leading to many borked drives.

Intel has now publically released the 2CV102HD firmware which, fingers crossed, should be bug free and ready for prime time. The update is intended for both its X25-M and X18-M SSDs and finally brings TRIM support to the products.

Members of the Hardware Canucks forum have already jumped on the update with reports that the update and installation process “was ridiculously easy”, however it appears that the final performance gains may not have quite lived up to expectations.

The update can be obtained directly from Intel
