While Corsair already has a full lineup of SSD capacity options for consumers, ranging from 32GB to the recently unvieled P 256GB, they are continuing their success by expanding on their “P”erformance series with the additions of 64GB and 128GB SSD options.

The P256 was greeted with much enthusiasm from consumers as it managed to keep pace with the performance leader, the Intel X25-M, which is offered at a similar price, but half the capacity. The new drives feature the same Samsung controller (with NCQ available) and 128MB cache that was present in the P256, and the P128 boast the same performance.  The Corsair P128 offers 220MB/sec read speeds and 200MB/sec write speeds, while the P64 has reads of 220MB/sec and writes of 120MB/sec, offering exceptional value for the performance.

“The high performance of the new Performance Series solid-state drives, combined with the inherent reliability and stability of flash technology, make them ideal for both new system builds and upgrades of desktops and notebooks,” said Jim Carlton, VP of Marketing for Corsair. “These drives have also been extensively validated in a wide range of popular notebook computers, which means that you can upgrade with absolute confidence.”

The new drives are backed by Corsair’s 2 Year warranty and can be found at some online USA retailers, though they don’t appear to have made their way into Canada yet. Pricing hovers at $339.99 USD for the P128 and P64 is set to follow come July.
