Samsung confirmed today that it would be formally announcing the Galaxy S4 at an event in New York City on March 14.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 was first announced last year at an event in London. The U.S launch of the Galaxy S4 was upon requests from U.S carriers.
While Samsung has yet to announce the exact specifications of the new phone, it is rumoured not to be using an Exynos chip but rather a Snapdragon 600 SoC.
Xbit Labs reports it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T application processor an Adreno 320 graphics core, 32-bit dual-channel LPDDR3 memory controller, Bluetooth 4.0, and LTE. Reportedly, the phone will feature a 4.99-inch SoLux-lit 1080p screen and not a Super AMOLED+ display.
Pricing and availability will be announced in March.
