With E-ATX and USB 3.0 support, this mid-tower case is the ideal case for any gaming enthusiast looking to keep their power PC compact.
Rosewill’s new heavy hitter for the season is the Armor Evolution – the first mid-tower case to support both USB 3.0 and E-ATX motherboards. Designed for high end gaming and PC enthusiasts, the Armor Evolution is a revamp of the older Armor tower designed to maximize internal capacity for long-term upgrade capabilities, but is priced competetively* so that even casual or non-gamers will like the appeal of the case, both functionally and aesthetically.
The Armor Evolution comes pre-installed with dual front 120mm fans with red LEDs, a top 120mm fan, one rear 120mm fan, and a large, but quiet, 230mm fan on the side panel. An externally accessible dust filter makes for easy cleaning, as well as providing additional protection for sensitive components. If the stock fans aren’t enough cooling, there are two optional slots to install two additional 120mm fans in the front behind the HDD rack, space for a 120mm bottom fan, an additionall 120mm top fan, and the large side panel fan can be replaced with four 120mm fans to keep things as cool as possible.
Providing enough room for the larger E-ATX motherboards in a mid-tower case is one thing, but still having room for other components, like larger video cards, is definitely the key selling point of the case. Expansion is provided for up to seven 3.5″ drives, up to three 5.25″ devices, and seven PCI slots. The drive bays are all toolless, making drive installation easy, and there’s room for up to 14 inches of video card, and 6.5 inches of CPU cooler clearance. There’s a total of eleven strategically placed cutouts in the chassis – three of which are placed to support liquid cooling cable routing, while the other eight are for cable management, allowing a clean and organized build. The case sports two front USB 3.0 ports and has a button to turn the LEDs of the included front fans on or off.
