VisionTek has teamed up with Bigfoot Networks to bring consumers in North America, Europe and Asia their latest Killer Xeno Pro network card, which promises to improve performance for gamers.
EVGA has released its own version of the card a a few months earlier, and it seems that Bigfoot is taking a step back from the self manufacturing of their NIC’s and instead focusing on providing the technology to third parties better equipped to market the product.
The actual performance benefit of these high end network cards has often been hotly debated, but the company claims that under certain conditions gamers could notice up to a 40% improvement in performance in online games.
The price tag on Bigfoot card’s have dropped considerably since manufacturing was taken over by third parties, Visiontek’s card is expected to retail at around $99USD ($109CAD)
