After 18 months of development, Func has entered the gaming mouse market with a sleek, ergonomic mouse called the MS-3.
You have to respect companies like Func which lay low, ensuring their products meet the needs of consumers instead of flooding the market with junk designs. Their MS-3 may not look like the flashy gaming mice from the likes of Thermaltake, Cooler Master and Gigabyte but it is supposed to offer gamers a straightforward yet high quality peripheral. After years of producing high quality gaming surfaces, Func decided now was the time to release a companion for their mouse pads.
With 10 well integrated programmable buttons, a black rubber coating for enhanced grip, a braided cord (with a few touches of orange for good measure) and sweeping visual lines, the MS-3’s design is almost stealth-like in nature. It certainly doesn’t make a statement but Func’s focus here was long term comfort rather than making their presence known. For those who want some LEDs, a few have been integrated into discrete locations.
The MS-3 is equipped with an Avago 9500 laser sensor which features programmable DPI settings, an adjustable report rate and lift-off distance settings that can be controlled by the user. Func has also included onboard memory which can store up to three profiles and recorded macro commands.
One of the MS-3’s more unique features is its keys which have integrated mechanical switches for optimal feedback response.
According to Func, the MS-3 will go on sale in February for a price of $79.95.
