Tablets aren’t the only PC devices utilizing the wonders of a touchscreen interface, thanks to Windows 7 bringing huge advancements to touch screen devices you can now have the interactive experience right on your everyday desktop.
Acer has launched the T231H LCD touchscreen monitor, the replacement to its first device, the T230H; one of a very few consumer oriented (and available) multi-touch touchscreen monitors.
The new LCD brings a much more stylish design that Acer claims is more ergonomic, making for a more comfortable operation through a specialized stand that easily tilts from 5° to 60°.
Spec wise it is the same as the original, a full 23-inch 1980 x 1080 resolution panel with 2ms response time, 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with ACM (Adaptive Contrast Management), max brightness of 300 cd/m2, and DVI/ HDMI inputs.
The monitor is only paper launched and should be available at retailers by summer with an expected price of approximately $450 USD.
