“Our mission with the Razer Megalodon was to take gaming audio to a whole new level,” says Robert “Razerguy” Krakoff, President of Razer. “The onboard Razer Maelstrom audio engine not only provides an unprecedented sense of immersion with its 7.1 surround sound but also provides the player with the tactical advantage of 360 degree positional audio.”


The gaming community has been anticipating the release of the Razer Megalodon and now the waiting is finally over. The Razer Megalodon is the world’s first 7.1 gaming headphones that has a dedicated onboard audio processor that provides true to life surround sound without the need for software drivers. The advanced Razer Maelstrom audio engine creates realistic in-game audio by utilizing the next generation HRTF algorithms, designed to bring 360 degree accurate virtual surround sound to life. The Razer Megalodon also offers an amplified microphone and a control pod that can be adjusted for volume, mic, bass, and positional sound making it the most advanced gaming audio headset of its kind. First Person Shooter and MMO gamers will be able to enjoy a whole new surround sound audio experience.
