Overclockers now have a new weapon in their arsenal to aid them push their systems to new heights.
Even though they haven’t been on the motherboard scene for that long, EVGA has already become known for having some of the highest-quality, most overclocker-friendly boards on the market today. On the other hand, they are primarily known for graphics cards and have constantly pushed the limits of these as well with their SSC, FTW and Classified versions. Their current high-end products are now all compatible with a new overclocking tool called the EVBot.
We first saw the EVBot months ago in our preview of the EVGA P55 seriesand it has been going through final testing at EVGA and in the hands of a select group of overclockers ever since. Basically, this little hand-held controller allows users to control nearly every single overclocking feature from the motherboard BIOS without having to reboot your computer. It also allows you to monitor various parameters in real time as well. Compatibility extends to graphics cards as well with full support for the EVGA GTX Classified along with some yet unnamed GPUs where it can adjust various voltages.
Other features are as follows:
- On the fly voltage adjustment
- On the fly clock frequency adjustment
- No software required, no CPU overhead
- Opt Booster max’s out your CPU for extreme benchmarks
- Supports select EVGA motherboards and graphics cards
- Connect up to 4 individual EVGA products
At the time of writing, the EVBot is available for purchase only from EVGA’s online store where its price of between $80 to $100USD may seem steep to many but it could prove to be an invaluable tool for legions of overclockers. You can read more about the EVBot here.
