Among fierce competition, a Canadian overclocker now sits near the top of the world rankings after posting some impressive results this weekend!
Striving for the top spot on the international overclocking and benchmarking stage might seem like an impossibility to many but that illustrious position is closer than many of you may think.
We here at Hardware Canucks know 3oh6 as a reviewer and regular forum member but this weekend he did what few in the enthusiast community even dream of accomplishing: breaking the Top 10 in HWBot’s international rankings. This was done with the help of quartet of MSI HD 4890 Cyclone cards, an EVGA X58 Classified motherboard, OCZ Blade series memory clocked at a stunning DDR3-2400 and an Intel Xeon W3540 clocked at 5.3Ghz and higher under Liquid Nitrogen.
With the setup listed above, 3oh6 was able to place in the top 5 worldwide in both the multi and single card 3DMark 05 benchmarks as well as place in the top 10 in a number of other tests.
Hardware Canucks would like to congratulate 3oh6 for bearing the Canadian flag all the way to the top of the international rankings charts. The position is well deserved.
