mushkin copperhead 300x125 Mushkin Rumoured to Release New Copperhead Heatspreader with MemoryA short little tidbit has hit the web about new Mushkin heatspreaders, still in the rumour stage as the companies press announcement is likely months away, if we even get to see it in North America (Mushkin is notorious for releasing many products only in the European markets).

Reports from a German website, Lab501, have Mushkin adding a new “Copperhead” heatspreader to there enthusiast ”XP” ram lineup in addition to the current Frostbyte and Ascent cooling options. Given copper’s relatively high cost as a raw material, one can suspect that these modules will be at the pinnacle of Mushkin’s lineup, and priced accordingly.

The ram is said to be featured in both triple channel and dual channel versions and it will likely use the same ram modules currently produced by Mushkin.

Details relating to release, pricing or performance are unknown.
