34b 300x145 Mushkin Introduces Ridgeback Memory ModulesMushkin Enhanced looks to be changing their traditional ‘Frostbyte’ cooling solution to something more efficient.


Announced today is a new lineup of DDR3 and even a DDR2 kit featuring the new ‘Ridgeback’ cooling design.  Ridgeback will be offered as it stands in 4 kits to start, and will be both AM3 and Intel Core i5 and i7 compatible.


The new cooling solution is said to increase the surface area available and also help improve the overall thermal transfer from the modules. The four available Kits are as follows:

- 996826 – 4GB (2X2) PC3 – 12800 6-8-6-24 1.65V

- 998826 – 6GB (3X2) PC3 – 12800 6-8-6-24 1.65V

- 998827 – 6GB (3×2) PC3 – 12800 8-8-8-24 1.65V

- 996828 – 4GB (2X2) PC2 – 8500 5-5-5-15 2.1V


Availability is now, but Canadian Pricing is not yet known.
