Kingston is forgoing its typical blue HyperX design to launch a limited edition run of 4GB PC3-12800 memory kit with black heatspreaders.
The KHX1600C9D3X1K2/4G features two 2GB modules at speeds of 1600 MHz, CL9 timings at 9-9-9-24 and a DRAM voltage of 1.65v, allowing it to work with both Core i5 & i7 systems.Expected retail price is €75.
Along with the limited edition black memory, Kingston also announced they would be shipping the HyperX fan in black. The new black fan is identical in performance and specifications to the blue-colored HyperX fan released in June 2009.
The dual 60mm fans optimize airflow around the modules helping memory run at peak performance for longer periods of time. The black HyperX Fan is made of anodized aluminum and when turned on, the blades are illuminated by eight small blue LEDs. Power use is minimal and noise is not an issue as the fan runs at a whisper-quiet 25 dBA.
