Hewlett Packard4 300x245 Is HP Developing ARM Based Servers?According to a report by Digitimes, HP could be prepping low power servers based on the ARM chipset.

Digitimes’ sources claim that HP’s server project, codenamed Moonshot, is intended to develop more power efficient data centers.

HP’s ARM based server is expected to be available for some clients to begin testing during the second quarter of 2012.

Project Moonshot is not limited to ARM chips, as Digitimes’ sources also claim that Intel’s Atom processors may be integrated at a future date.
