As Hardware Canucks’ sources correctly said earlier this week, PowerColor today launched the dual-Tahiti XT GPU sporting Devil 13 HD7990.
These dual-Tahiti XT GPUs are clocked at 925MHz and the 6GB of GDDR5 memory runs at 1,375MHz. Flipping the dual-BIOS switch brings the beast to 1 GHz.
The Devil 13 has 10 heatpipes and 3 coolers, which may seem excessive but are required considering the heat the dual-GPUs are likely to put out. The card’s PCB fits a 12+2+2 power phase design as well as digital PWM, super cap, UB and PowerIRstage components.
Hardware Canucks’ sources have said that this card will be released in a very limited run, with sources putting the initial run between 200 and 500.
Details on pricing have yet to be released, but rest assured this card will be expensive.
