Hawken is a free to play mech combat game which boasts stunning visuals and includes a healthy dose of NVIDIA’s PhysX technology.
Currently in open beta, Hawken has been eagerly anticipated by mech combat enthusiasts who live and dream in the world of MechWarrior and anime. In this MMO-style environment, players are able to team up with or combat others in either team deathmatch or free-for-all modes. So far, the community’s response has been quite positive and the development team has continued to expand the game’s feature set as it moves towards final release.
One of the major inclusions in Hawken is support for NVIDIA’s PhysX, allowing for a more immersive combat environment. While PhysX doesn’t necessarily change the way you’ll play the game, the realistic debris mapping and other technological enhancements make for a more lifelike experience.
