Hell, It’s about time. Amid plenty of delays and years of taunting, gamer’s are finally getting the chance for a hand’s on experience with the long anticipated Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, or at least some of them.
Blizzard has announced that the first “phase” of closed beta trial keys have been handed out through Battle.Net and those fortunate enough to have received one can download the trial version and begin their testing.
The testing process will occur in multiple phases over the next little while by selecting users that meet specific criteria according to their Battle.net account, so if you havn’t received an invite it is possible you may receive one later in the beta. Head over to http://www.battle.net and create or update your account with your system specs and make sure to opt in for beta trials and cross your fingers.
The first segment of the game, Wings of Liberty, is expected to retail in the first half of 2010.
The Starcraft II Minimum System Specs are:

- 1024×768 minimum display resolution
- 4 GB free hard space
- Broadband connection
