100b 300x251 Gigabyte is First in With Their 890GX MotherboardWith the upcoming Phenom II X6 Processors it was only a matter of time before all the speculation ended and new boards started appearing on store shelves. Gigabyte looks to be the first with their entry level GA-890GPA-UD3H.

Based on AMD’s 890GX and SB850, these new boards will feature full support for the next generation of Phenom’s when they start to arrive at stores worldwide.  Native support for SATA 6GB/s is included while USB 3.0 is added via a controller chip, as well as Radeon’s newest HD4250 integrated GPU. Currently the GA-890GPA will support all the latest AM3 processors available to date, be it a Phenom or Athlon series.

For expansion a pair of PCI-e 16X slots are included (8X/8X Electrical when a card is in each) giving nominal support for Crossfire. Memory speeds are available up to 1866MHz (Overclocked) using DDR3 Dual Channel.  It is interesting to note that IDE is still supported even on the newest boards in the stable.

This board is available now, for $139.99 USD
